Image Edits
This is the image i have decided to use for the front cover of my CD. The image has the playful, comical atmosphere i video does and i really like the use of the prop. The first stage of my editing i have increased the contrast and brightness to make the image look more bold.
After looking at the image with increased brightness and contrast i decided i wanted my image to have a more cartoon feel so i have increased the hue and decreased the saturation, this is the outcome:

Cd Cover Studio Shoot
For my Cd cover i have decided to do a studio shoot with Stacy the main star of our video. For the shoot i will dress Stacy up as a doll to run alongside our theme of the artificial world and our link with plastic surgery. I will use props like a large lollpop and she will have bright makeup on.
I will be using a digital SLR for the shoot and model lighting to give her skin a glowing and flawless look.

Film Experiments
Today our group experimented with the idea of a feedback loop in visual media to create one-off effects that would be perfect for the performance element of a music video.
The results gave use abstract images like that of Kandinsky's synthenasia driven artwork, a blend of vibrant colors and radiating shapes.
John also experimented with these effects when used with ordinary footage. Effects like Colour Replace are brilliant for manufacturing a retro feel video, when used in conjunction with bright colors much like the video 'Standing In The Way Of Control' By 'The Gossip'

Editing Process
We have now completed all sections of filming and now coming into the editing process. We will use the programme Adobe Premiere Pro to put all our shots together. We are now going to look at the shots captured and begin to log our shots.
Ancillary- Digipak
For my Ancillary Task i will be designing a digipak for our CD. My Idea is to take photographs of normal places but them place a bra somewhere in the shoot making the photograph quite abstract and a humorous. I then plan to use my photoshop skills to enhance the photograph.

Filming the Final Scene
Today our group had a meeting and we have no decided that for our final scene in the music video we would like to use a tracking shot which came from our initial idea and also jumps cuts to make it look quite abstract. We will be filming in the textures corridor in college, we have the idea to line the corridor with mannequins which links in with our song and videos message 'the perception of beauty'.

Filming the Supermarket Scene
Today the group travelled down to Asda in Totton to film our already discussed Supermarket Scene. The filming went well and i feel we have created some very humorous moments which will definitely be used in our piece, now we will logged and capture our shots.

Supermarket Scene
We have now composed another idea which we can include in our music video. Stacys character will walk round the supermarket with a trolley picking up fruits which are related to breasts eg. melons, coco nuts. We want this scene to be quite bizaree but also comical to keep the audience engaged and entertained.

Inlcuding a Narrative
As a group we have now decided to add a slight narrative to our music video. We had the idea of including a dream sequence which will be the main concept of our video. The music video will begin with a hospital type scene which will then introduce the dream sequence where all the weird happenings take place. This will enable us when editing takes place to use filters and lighting to give the dream section of the video an abstract feel.

Sia- You've Changed
While Researching John found this music video from the artist Sia showing that a home grown video can itself be very effective.
The props throughout the video are made of cardboard, roughly cut and not a polished material and are seemingly cheap but the 'cuteness' and non pretentious outlook created by these props is what reflects the flirtatious and fun prowess of the song.
The balance of a 'rushed job' and successful music video perhaps come form the source material of videogames such as 'Singstar' which are therefore parodied in the video.
I really like this video and i think it attracts its target audience in the right way it is light hearted and fun it is not supposed to serious otherwise its comical and fun nature would be lost

Editing Problem
Our idea of re-creating our own version of the annoying orange by transposing a face onto a pair of boobs has not worked.
By creating an iris to reveal the footage underneath of my face and saturating the blue inn the footage to match that of the clothing our breasts are wearing.
By blurring focus around the iris image we hoped to create a more 'realistic' image of a face transposed onto some breasts, but overall the footage became blurred, undefined, unprofessional and overly amatuer to an extent greater than the 'viral' like a representation of an amatuer pallate.

The Annoying Orange
This is a example of a comical internet phenomenom. This video itself has at this momemnt over 35 million views. This has succedded in attracting a youthful audience with the humorous visual effects. After watching a few of these clips are group thought that transposing an image of a face onto a breast would be a good idea and run with the abstract theme in our video.
Carry On Scene
In our video we hope to re-create the famous scene from Carry on Camping.
Stages of Carry on Scene

Divine
In keeping with the novelty feel of the song, and its viral like sound, the single cover reflects a playful feeling.
An album cover which I think plays on this idea of flirty fun is the cover of Divine's Greatest Hits. it is a play on the work of Andy Warhol who's prints were created to mimic the simple way in which celebrity can be created through simple representation.
Divine is represented as a strong dominant woman an image we wish to reflect in our viral video.

Shot Ideas
Tomorrow we have arranged to shoot a scene which involves a woman rubbing lotion onto her cleavage, the use of sexual imagery is a driving force for most popular musicians image and is a brilliant convention when attracting a young audience who have be subsequently informed by media stereotyping that there is a objectification and an irrational sexuality in the form of the female body which transcends the verisimilitude of the media itself.

Filming the Kitchen Scene
Today the group went back to my house to film the Kitchen scene. The filming went well and we captured all the shots we wanted plus some additional ideas we came up with while filming we did have some problems with the tripod which meant our originally planned tracking shot was unsuccesful but we plan to film this another time instead

Filming Idea
As a group we have now come up with an idea which we plan to film as soon as possible. The scene will be set in a kitchen where Stacy's character will be cooking 2 fried eggs a comical metaphor for breasts she will then force my character to eat then showing her dominant character.

Looking at a CD Cover
This Album cover is for the September 2009 Muse album; The Resistance. The Album cover won an award later that year for the best album artwork.
The Design of the cover is based around the idea of a space ship and man trying to save earth, this links to the themes and ideas of the album itself.
The colour scheme is bright and the way the colours have been placed look like they are in a rainbow format. It has a very pop art feel to it as the images look cartoon.
I really like the bright colours used in this cover and i will consider using a similar scheme when i come to create my CD cover
Change in Idea: Breast Is Best
Breast Is Best by Singer102
A change is idea has lead us to create a new song with a fun upbeat vibe.
This is the song we have created and therefore chosen to visualize in a music video. The song is novlty synth. The song is a tribute to the high energy songs of the 80s. The theme of the song is about female identity and how woman are viewed in soceity and the obsession with the "perfect body" in the present day.

Tracking Shot
From out initial thoughts, the idea of a continous tracking shot combined with a narrative 'evolution of love' in the peripheral of the audiences vision. This music video uses a similar technique to create a fast paced video, our version would be slower to match the tempo of the chosen track.

Sliding Doors
Our idea of alternative realities can from the film Sliding Doors starring Gwyneth Patrow; A London woman's love life and career both hinge, unknown to her, on whether or not she catches a train. We see it both ways, in parallel.
After a group discussion we thought this idea could make a really interesting video. So we are going to carry on exploring and developing this idea by researching and looking at other media pieces similar to this idea.

Intial Idea
Our intial idea reflects the growth of love of a boy and girl over time both lyrically and visually through the music video. The theme of love and its movement is demonstrated through a combination cinematography and mise-en-scene.
The setting will be a two pathed street. The video will show the girl and boy developing from babies to adults and how their connection strengthens over time. The metaphor of the street is life and the couples coming together is a story of love. Consequently, we then introduced the concept of alternate realities if the couple had never met.
